Benjamin Semenyo Lifeson is a dedicated Art Education Tutor, recognized as the 2023 Most Outstanding College of Education Tutor in Ghana. Currently serving as a tutor and the Head of the Creative Arts Department at the esteemed Presbyterian College of Education, Akropong Akuapem.
His educational background includes an MPhil in Arts and Culture, a Bachelor of Art Education, a Diploma in CBT, and a Teacher’s Certificate A. His passion for art education and innovative expertise leaves an indelible impact on students, fellow educators, schools, institutions, communities, and the country, both nationally and internationally.

Improving Learning Outcomes: Benjamin’s mission centers around ensuring students achieve their full potential by equipping them with excellent life skills through exceptional practical tutelage. Notably, he has produced a lot of first-class students, including the two first-ever students with hearing impairments and two visual impairments to achieve first-class honors in Visual Art education in Ghana.
Building and Strengthening Educator Capacity: Benjamin has developed training programs, and has organized workshops, and seminars that enhance the pedagogical skills and professional development of fellow tertiary and pre-teacher educators across approximately 10 districts and over 100 schools, focusing on educational policies and professional portfolio building.
Creative Works for Schools and Institutions: Benjamin Lifeson’s artistic talents have left a lasting mark on educational institutions, enhancing their visual identity and contributing to a vibrant learning environment. Benjamin has an impressive portfolio of approximately 63 creative works and innovations. Among the notable pieces are:
i. Institutional Crest, Ceremonial Mace Staff, established Art Gallery , Art studio, Uniforms, Branding of College entrance, three different anniversary and college clothes, directional/ road signs and Academic Gowns for the principals and tutors and many others for the Presbyterian College of Education, Akropong-Akuapem.
ii. His creative and innovative contributions extend to the Presbyterian Women’s College of Education in Aburi, where he worked on creative projects such as the institutional crest, academic gown, SRC emblem, ceremonial mace staffs and others.
iii. Benjamin’s creative works include the institutional crest and the designed ceremonial mace staff for the Kibi Presbyterian College of Education.
iv. Notably, he also created the ceremonial mace staff for St. Teresa’s College of Education in Hohoe, among other projects.
Integrating Art in Community Development: Benjamin’s community-focused art projects include creating signage and visual identities for public and private services such as the Ghana Fire Service, Ghana Police Service, Ghana Education Service, Ghana Health Service, Ghana Immigration Service, district assemblies, mechanical shops, skin and body care shops, and more in the Akuapem North Municipal. Remarkably, he completes these projects free of charge for the benefit of the society.
National and International Contribution: Benjamin has organized three major art exhibitions that attracted diverse audiences in Ghana and beyond. His impact extends globally through ten books and articles, as well as teachings in the USA. These initiatives foster partnerships between local and international organizations, showcasing the power of art education on a global scale.
