As part of our holistic teacher training model, we offer robust Visual Arts programmes that nurture creativity, cultural identity, and critical thinking among student-teachers.

Through practical experiences and artistic expression, we prepare future educators to teach art effectively, integrate it across the curriculum, and use it as a powerful tool for personal and community development.

Our Visual Arts programme is designed to be both practical and pedagogical. Areas of focus include:
1. Drawing and Painting
Basic sketching and shading techniques
Watercolor, acrylic, and oil painting
Still life, portraiture, and abstract composition

2. Textile and Fabric Design
Batik, tie-dye, and screen printing
Adinkra symbolism and traditional Ghanaian motifs
Sewing basics and textile crafts

3. Graphic Design and Visual Communication
Poster and banner creation
Digital art using design software
Lettering, typography, and layout design

4. Sculpture and 3D Art
Clay modeling and pottery
Relief work and assemblage art
Environmental and recycled art

5. Art History and Cultural Studies
Ghanaian and African art forms
Art appreciation and critique

Entry a Senior High School certificate (WASSCE/SSSCE) with credits in English, Math, Integrated Science, and two elective subjects (e.g., Social Studies, ICT, or a relevant arts/science subject). We also accept mature students with relevant diplomas through special entry exams.
