The town Akuapeng Akropong serves as the traditional capital of the Akuapem people and is known for its cool climate, lush greenery, and panoramic views of the surrounding plains. The town is easily accessible via the Accra-Aburi-Akropong road, making it a convenient yet serene escape from the capital's hustle.
There are many options to travel to campus.
To reach the Presbyterian College of Education (PCE) in Akropong-Akuapem, trotros (shared minibuses) are the most common and affordable option, departing from Accra's Madina or Adenta stations directly to Akropong. Alternatively, you can take a taxi or private car from Accra via the Aburi-Akropong road, which offers a scenic 1.5-hour drive through the Akuapem hills. From Koforidua, frequent trotros and shared taxis make the 45-minute trip to Akropong, while travelers from Kumasi can take a bus to Koforidua or Accra first before connecting to Akropong.
