About the Library

The PCE Library provides modern library services enhancing the learning experience for all students and users of the library. We provide support to meet the information needs of our community. The library is equipped with a range of resources, such as books, electronic resources, rare materials etc. to support teaching, learning and research in the College.

Vision

  • The vision of the library is to satisfy the information needs of all staff and students of the College both within and beyond the Library building.
  • The Library also seeks to play a key role in developing and supporting information literacy across the institution

The mission of the Library is to provide high quality services in support of the College’s research, teaching, learning and engagement activities

SELF-CHECK BAG SYSTEM REGULATIONS
The PCE library self-check bag system consists of lockers that serves as a temporary storage of students when they are in the Library. Rules for the usage of the lockers are stated below:

  1. Lockers are to be used only by students who are in the library.
  2. Do not leave valuables in the lockers. You do so at your own risk. The library does not take responsibility for the loss of your valuables or personal items.
  3. Reservation of lockers is not allowed.
  4. Food and water are not allowed in the lockers.
  5. Littering in and around the lockers is prohibited.
  6. Bags are not to be forced into the lockers if they do not fit.
  7. Use another locker if you are unable to unlock or lock a particular locker
  8. Keys must be left in the keyhole after use.
  9. Keys must not be taken outside the library at any time.
  10. Keys are not to be given to a third party.
  11. Any locker found locked with no key when the library closes will attract a fine of GHc20. The library reserves the right to open the locker.
  12. Misplacement or loss of a key attracts a fine of GH50.
  13. Report all concerns to the Library Staff.

These regulations have been put up to ensure that the lockers remain in a good state at your next visit
